Fresh off its sectional and regional championships, the Bishop Noll girls volleyball team heads to Plymouth on Saturday as one of four schools in search of the Indiana Class 3A northern semistate title. Saturday’s semistate winner will advance to the state championship match on Nov. 9 at Ball State University.
Here is the schedule for Saturday’s semistate:
At Plymouth High School Semifinals 9 a.m. CDT: BISHOP NOLL vs. Angola 11 a.m. CDT: New Castle vs. NorthWood Championship 6:30 p.m. CDT: Semifinal winners
Coach Dave Rodriguez’s senior-dominated squad brings a 33-3 record and a 12-game winning streak into semistate play. In addition to their postseason titles, the Warriors this season also claimed tournament championships at Chesterton and Chicago Christian. They have not lost a set to any school in northwest Indiana and, in fact, have not played in a fourth or fifth set all season. (Their three losses, all to Class 4A ranked schools, came in best-of-three tournament matches.)
They definitely will be challenged Saturday. Angola brings a 30-4 record into the semistate and is ranked one spot ahead of the Warriors in the state’s 3A rankings.
Please consider coming out to cheer on the Warriors. Plymouth High School, an hour-and-a-half drive from BNI, is located in the Eastern time zone at: 1 Big Red Drive, Plymouth, IN 46563.
Tickets are digital through your mobile phone, and cost $12 per person (children 5 and under are free). They can be by clicking here.
For those who are unable to attend, the semistate matches can be viewed live via pay-per-view at IHSAAtv.org and the IHSAAtv suite of apps (iPhone, Android phone, Roku, Amazon Firestick, AppleTV and Android TV) for $12 per match or $20 for all matches.
